Team Ireland produced a superb second day performance to win the inaugural Tri-Nations Cup at Stackstown Golf Club.
The Tri-Nations Cup brought teams of disabled golfers from England, Ireland and Wales together at the Co Dublin venue for two days of competition.
By the close of play on day one the Irish team of Cian Arthurs, Kevin Cassidy, Paul Ferguson, Paul Kelly, Shane Keogh, Philip Querney, David Quinn and Vera Smyth trailed Wales by a point with England a further four points adrift.
Under the competition format, the best stableford score in each three-ball was awarded three points, with two points for the second-best score and one for the third-best.
Ireland dominated proceedings on day two and eventually finished four points ahead of Wales with England back in third.
Irish team under captain Caolan Munnelly and vice-captain Carol Brill celebrated the moment at a closing ceremony at Stackstown with Golf Ireland President Rosemary Tully.
Captain Munnelly, who was ruled out of competing by injury, paid tribute to all the competitors who performed admirably in tricky windy conditions.
Brill, an honorary member at Stackstown, thanked the many volunteers at the host club for their commitment in the staging of the event.
